Island House Key West

The staff are simply the best. So attentive, yet laid back. They make it the perfect vacay in gay paradise. We had a small room with private bath and full size bed, since it was the last available. Although a bit cramped, it was clean and perfectly acceptable for our purposes. After all, you really shouldn't be spending a lot of time in your room. It's KW!

This 50 year-old iconic landmark is the last sanctuary for gay men on the island of Key West. ||With It’s well appointed rooms, private compound, and outstanding restaurant and bar, there is no reason to leave the resort. Prices at the restaurant and bar are on par, if not more affordable than many other places on the island. The staff is charming and the service is excellent.||The pool is just the right size with enough sun/shade area to accommodate everyone. What an incredible experience. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. The resort has everything you need. The resort provides an excellent atmosphere. The amenities are kept in great order. The food and drinks are excellent. We stayed for Thanksgiving, and Pasha cooked an amazing meal. They also provided special menus for those in our group with dietary restrictions. Most importantly though, *you* help make memories at Island House unforgettable. Lean in and go out of your box. Get to know the other guests, and be friendly! Guests are respectful, and you should be too 😃 Don't hesitate, and book a trip!

This is a nice resort where you can spend all your time if you like, or you can get out and explore Key West. You can walk to Duval Street in under 15 minutes, or there are plenty of Ubers available we never waited more than 5 minutes to be picked up. The staff is friendly, and the happy hour is a great mixer. Our stay was October 2025, and you get three free drinks during happy hour at the pool and most guests are there, so it is a good time where you will meet and chat with people. The resort is not cheap and it's hard to know if you're getting a good deal since the prices are all opaque, but if you have the budget and want to stay in a friendly place, then Island House is a great option.

My absolute favorite vacation spot. I get to be naked in tropical breezes and foliage, with excellent food and drink options. The people who go here are also always interesting, well-rounded, and good to converse with. The resort has everything for everyone whether you like to just chill naked or are on the friskier side. I'm so glad I was open enough to trying this place, because I now look forward to going twice a year. The outdoor pool is always heated to a perfect temperature, and the steam room is actually fancy and has a shower in it for cooling off while you're still in the steam room.
