Houghton Lake Travel Park

We had a rough week and were later getting on the road than we hoped to be. It was after 9PM when we called Houghton Lake Travel Park to ask about a reservation. We were 15 minutes away, so the owner met us there on his bike. He led us with his flashlight to our site for the night, made sure we had everything we needed, and asked if we would settle up our fee with him in the morning, which we did. My husband enjoyed visiting with him in the office. The campground is friendly and clean. There is a large tree in the center that twinkles with tiny blue lights! Everything even down to the shower curtains has a nice decor. It has a warm, well-tended feel. We saw a few kids enjoying the playground as we left the next day. I would definitely stay here again!

Staff was great, very nice. Bathrooms clean. I want to thank the person that turned on the lights for us to play volleyball when it was getting dark.🤗

This is a wonderful RV park. Very well kept....clean. They are so friendly and help all they can. Thank you for the kindness you have shown to Joe and I. God Bless! I just wanted to update my post we have stayed here before....this is the nicest RV park we have stayed in. The owners are awesome. The restrooms are clean....lots are wonderful! We have been staying at this campgrounds for in excess of 10 years. We have always found the owners friendly and courteous. The pool is always clean. The restrooms are clean and showers have nice hot water. It is quiet after quiet hour and we find the campers very friendly. The grounds are kept up well. We will continue to come and enjoy camping here.

This is a very nice place to camp.....very quiet....very relaxing. Nice pool....clean bathrooms and nice management. I will be coming back. The only thing I would recommend is that the fire rings should be above ground....I fell in it and so did my pup. Safety hazard.....
