We had a wonderful weekend at Foughts. It was off-season, with only one other cabin occupied, so very quiet. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed from dishes and cookware to the linens, and they included firewood for our fireplace at no additional charge. The grounds were very well kept, and the sound of the waves outside our door was fantastic. Rick and Nancy were friendly and hospitable! Will definitely be making a return visit.
Thank you Rick and Nancy! We wanted a reasonable, clean cabin to stay in while ice fishing and this was perfect! Even our dog was at home there. We stayed in cabin 8, and absolutely loved the view of the lake. The gas fireplace not only kept us toasty warm, it made for that cozy cabin feel. There was plenty of room to park, as well as put our trailer. Rick and Nancy even welcomed our friend to leave his trailer overnight. We utilized the kitchen, except for one meal out at Spikehorn restaurant, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Great atmosphere, service, and food, and mere minutes from Foughts. Great experience!
Bye for our favorite place to stay. The cabins, the views, the owners we're all great. But to see the smile on my kids face was the best. First time my boy ever kayaked was there. And we loved taking the four wheelers right from the cabins on to the lake. Would definitely recommend this place. PS is there any openings this weekend?
We rented three cabins for a family stay. Cabins were clean and very nice. Hosts Rick and Nancy are very nice people, and treated us like family. They were very helpful with information and services. Nancy also helped us plan by finding a great sleigh ride service in Gaylord; all the kids (and adults) enjoyed it a lot. Great people and a great place to stay! A+++
The cabin was spotless. Full amenities - the only things I would suggest bringing are your own pillows, blankets and a bed topper as the mattresses are firmer spring mattresses. Nancy and Rick are SO sweet and allowed for flexible check-in time. They are helpful and all-around great hosts. There are free kayak, paddle boat, and rowboats to to use along w. motorboats you can’t rent out. Shuffleboard, plenty of lawn chairs and a nice swing set. The cabin are decorated so cute and are so cozy. Each has a fireplace, grill, bench, and screen porch area. We stayed in cabin #2 and it was very nice and quiet. My favorite part was falling asleep with the windows open and listening to the wind breeze go through the tall trees. I will definitely be back! This is such a quiet and peaceful location and
