Hotel Stanford

The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful. One guy in particular, Steven at the front desk who works late night shifts was very efficient in helping us with our requests. Me and my future wife will be coming back. The location is relatively quiet and safe as far as we know. Very nice distinct smell and clean environment. 10/10

Pros:||Very comfortable bed and quiet room (1212) just like I had requested. The window faced a wall of another building so no street traffic noise! Breakfast was included. The buffet was fine; I’ve had much better and much worse. Included hot food like scrambled eggs and sausages… but plastic cheese 😬 I really liked how the bathroom has refillable soap/ shampoo/conditioner rather than minis. The heating worked well in the room. Great location, right next to a subway entrance.||Cons: |REALLY disappointed how the breakfast buffet only had wasteful, single-use plastics. The bathroom is freezing unfortunately. The hot water in the shower is ok… it stays lukewarm a bit too long before getting hot. Only one elevator so can be a bit of a wait sometimes. There’s free WiFi but it’s really annoying

Very old building crying out for a refurbishment. Very small room, no drink facilities (tea/coffe) in the room. Breakfast although complimentary was a very poor offering! Lots of money for very little reward. That being said staff were very charming and helpful

This is a simple hotel that provides simple but hearty breakfast. The room design are dated but it has ample space to walk, closet space and toilet. There is inroom ironing, TV, bathtub, and hot water for washing. There is also a dining room which you can use the microwave to heat up your take aways. It's also quiet despite being conveniently located. However, the downsides are: no street view for the room I stayed in, and there is intermittent noise coming from the inroom fridge, the toilet area is also cold, seems no room heating in toilet. The front desk and door man were friendly too.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Standord Hotel in New York. My room on the 9th floor was very spacious, more like a studio, with two queen beds, a large sofa, and a big bathroom. The location is excellent- just 2 minutes from the subway and right next to the Empire State Building. Breakfast was very basic but included in the price. My stay was during a snowstorm, so the hotel was short-staffed. When my flight was cancelled and I asked about extending my stay, there was some confusion with pricing, and the rate offered was higher than online, so I decided to change hotels. Overall, I had a great stay and would happily extend my stay with a better offer.
