Hotel Riu Plaza New York Times Square

Highly recommended! Great location and the staff were always helpful and friendly. We stayed in a kingsize deluxe room but it was quite small. However, the quality of the bathroom, bed and bedding was very good and we slept very well. The breakfast could not be faulted at all. Excellent quality and an amazing choice - could not think of anything they had forgotten. The breakfast area could get very busy and noisy but we didn't have a problem being seated.

Hotel was great. Very comfortable beds and great breakfast options. You do need to get down early to avoid queues but there are signs letting you know the best times. It's also in an optimal location being a block over from Times Square, very near a lot of Broadway shows and right on restaurant row. Staff were great - our flight home was cancelled due to the recent winter storm & reception were able to sort out an extra night pretty quickly. Some minor quibbles are that there are frequent queues for the lifts & check-in can be slow but it is a very busy hotel. Also the curtains in the room didn't block the light & street noise isn't blocked out (7th floor) so if you're a light sleeper, might be worth knowing. We would definitely stay here again.

My sister and I stayed here for 4 nights 9th-13th January. I could not fault the hotel it was spotlessly clean. We were on the 14th floor but there were 5 lifts so you didnt wait. The lifts are really fast so you don’t take long to reach your allocated floor. We had a king sized bed and there was plenty of room for the two of us. The bathroom had a walk in shower and they would change the towels everyday if you asked. We paid for breakfast and we weren’t disappointed. The breakfast was buffet style and you never left hungry. There was all sorts of food and hot drinks. We always filled up and it lasted us all day. One tip we went for breakfast really early as it gets busy around 08.00am. All the staff were very helpful and when we left they even organised a taxi to take us to the airport. I

We stayed here for four nights in February 26 and we are glad we did. Staff are friendly and polite, always on hand to help. Our room on the sixth floor was clean and tidy, modern and fresh. The location couldn't have suited us any better. We were within walking distance if everything we wanted to visit. A taxi from JFK worked out around $100 one way. Breakfast service was well organised and the food was plentiful. It can get busy during peak times but if you avoid the rush you can enjoy breakfast in a comfortable environment. The WiFi was fast and reliable. We'd return if we ever go back to NYC. Thank you!
