I arrived at 9:00 pm on a very stormy evening. The receptionist was friendly and found my reservation quickly. She gave me directions to my room, but even with directions it was an intricate maze to find my way there. So why 5 stars? I felt like I stepped into a fairytale once I opened the door to my room. With rain pounding down around me, there was a quiet to the room that included a bed, separate bathroom, living area and kitchenette. There was even a gas fireplace with instructions to light it. The hotel was minutes from the conference center where I would spend much of my time, which was convenient because I spent every spare moment returning to my hotel room to retreat into comfort. Unacceptable experience from start to finish.|We arrived at check-in time and were made to wait over an hour past the stated check-in time. This was after driving 3 hours with a one year old baby that we needed to get into the room and change her diaper and get freshened up. When we were finally given access to our room after 5:00 PM, cleaning staff were still inside, which is completely unacceptable.|I requested a toddler bed immediately after booking two days before we arrived. It was not in the room. Housekeeping told us they would notify the front desk to have one delivered. That never happened. Positive: Location was great and breakfast was good Negative: The hot tub area. We didn't even bother using it because it was very small and hardly any room around it to walk. Also there was no air conditioning in the room and I wasn't aware of that before hand. I was very hot. I have hot flashes from menopause

Hotel Pacific is absolutely adorable. From the moment we arrived, the experience was warm and welcoming. Jovanna at the front desk was truly wonderful — she helped us get settled after a long drive, was incredibly kind, and even surprised us with an upgrade, which we really appreciated. That level of service makes a difference. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely view. The location is excellent — an easy and pleasant walk to restaurants, shops, and the surrounding downtown area, which made our stay even better. The only reason I’m not giving a full five stars overall is the breakfast experience. While breakfast was advertised, it was a bit disappointing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A spotless mission-style boutique hotel designed as a terraced, secret-garden labyrinth. I first stayed at Hotel Pacific many years ago and returned during the holidays after also staying at another local hotel over Thanksgiving. I’m happy to say Hotel Pacific still has something increasingly rare: a genuine sense of place and soul. Our suite was beautifully laid out with a gas fireplace, roll-out sofa, nested coffee tables, four armchairs, and a small glass dining table. The living space was generous, with great lighting options, outlets everywhere, strong free Wi-Fi (no login), very comfortable beds 😴, and TV with HBO.
