This was sick was such a cool hotel! Was handed a craft beer at check-in, rooms were great and clean and it was close to everything. My only complaint as a 6foot 300lb man is the shower is SMALL. Like smaller than my RV shower. Also save yourself $20 and book directly through the hotel and not VRBO.

I stayed at Hotel Max for a conference at the convention center, which was only a few blocks away. I selected Hotel Max because of the inexpensive room rate and its proximity to the convention center. It was a good choice!||I'll start with the one con: the room size. As Groucho Marx once quipped, "hello, room service? Send up a larger room!" :-) Having stayed in lots of hotels in NYC, I'm accustomed to small rooms, but the bathroom was tiny! There is only enough room for one person in the bathroom, and the shower stall is the size of a phone booth. In fact, the shower was so tiny that I actually had difficulty with taking a shower! (I don't know how it was in other rooms; I can only comment on the room I was in.)||However, bathroom size notwithstanding, I otherwise like this hotel

We had a somewhat easy check in, front desk was always kind and ready to help with our needs. Noise level was moderate, lots of street noise but fairly manageable after the second night of our stay. Elevators are super tiny, we were placed directly next to one and could hear it sometimes by the headboard. Quieter at night. Showers are small and the curtain is not plastic so the water sometimes spills , we stayed in a Queen room. definitely bring extra blankets if your the type of person who sleeps with them because we got cold sometimes throughout the night and we were definitely in need of it. |:|Relaxing weekend overall!! Definitely would do another staycation here and maybe in a bigger room as well

Came in for a kraken game and I like quirky hotels. This was right in my comfort zone. An updated hotel of a forgotten era. Great style and art. ||Great bed, nice sheets, loved the sink in the bath. Looked like it was from a WW2 submarine. ||My only complaint was a cramped shower but Im a bit tall. ||Do recommend.

Positive: The beer in the lobby was very nice and a good opportunity to connect with others. Negative: It’s not the cleanest and while I understand the small rooms, then there could be more hooks and places to put things, like toiletries Etc.
