Diamond member. Very disappointed. We were charged a nightly amenity fee that was not waived, despite not using any amenities. We’ve stayed over 80 nights with IHG last year, and this is a first for us. After disputing with the front desk, they noted the amenity fee would be fully waived given our circumstances, but we would still pay any city taxes and gratuities. I accepted. Upon checking my statement a few days later, I noticed they had only waived two nights of fees. We were lied to and this is unacceptable. For a property with a mandatory amenity fee - even for Diamond elites - it is severely lacking in amenities. There were no umbrellas available for use during heavy rain, water bottles were not refreshed, and slippers were not provided even after requesting them. It is unclear wha
Stay away from this hotel if you don’t want to feel ripped-off with their useless daily amenity fee and advertised rooftop deck that is closed every night for a private party. ||Seriously. ||I’ve accepted this ‘cash-grab’, as so many properties are doing this to their guests but, at least most TRY and pretend it’s not a complete scam, with decent meal vouchers and museum passes/bike rentals etc. But, this IHG has decided the profit margins weren’t high enough and, have tasked their poor hotel staff with having to explain to the long-lines of guests, upset about the same thing I was, that somehow their $34 a day amenity fee has value. |-I actually had staff argue with me that, I should change my theater reservations to accommodate THEIR inability to keep the advertised rooftop bar open past
Good location, staff were excellent. Nothing was too much. On checking in there was an error, only showed we had one room, but when showing confirmation was rectified straight away. Close to subway to get around the city. Rooms are small but what you need because you are out and about. However, rooms are modern and quiet. Wardrobe door was broken but didn’t spoil our stay. Paid $125 per room deposit, only down fall was on checking out had another charge on my card, for both rooms and unsure what this is for. Didn’t receive any confirmation or reassurance I will get my deposits back. But overall couldn’t fault the hotel. Roof top bar, probably needs some work, tiles were lose and staff weren’t ready when we went up, so didn’t stop for a drink just went straight back down.
Nothing is done by the front desk staff without making it seem like they are doing you a favor and it is a big chore for them to do simple things. 1. When I checked in at noon, they did acknowledge my Platinum status and offered me an amenity. Then they told me my room wasn’t ready. Ok, no problem. I understand early check in is not guaranteed. I asked if they usually text when the room is ready and they said yes. I received no text. 2. I had two reservations that I asked to be combined. One was for two nights and the second was for one night. The first one was a king premium and the second one was a queen. Keep in mind that on the hotel website the going rate for the queen when I checked in go the king room was about the same price as the king. I was told they couldn’t combine the reser
Hotel is in a good location. Close to subways, shops, restaurants, supermarkets, wall street and trinity church. |Hotel and the room was clean and the pillows and bed were comfortable enough. Shower was decent.|Rooms are tiny and really not enough space for 2 people. Wardrobe was not big enough one person never mind 2. Room has a fridge, hairdryer and coffee maker. |We had breakfast included, we were told we could have one thing each from the menu however on 2nd last day we were told that pastries were not included. Odd given that this is the cheapest thing on the menu! I dont know how much breakfast out would cost but the breakfast wasnt worth the prices in my opinion. Breakfast staff were nice and friendly. |Hotel charges $30 plus taxes as an amenity fee. This is an absolute con but it
