Pretty good hotel, nice location. Heating was very noisy and disturbing causing to awake during the night. Bathroom was very cold (I visited the hotel beginning of February). Service is very good and attentive. Gym is very small and old machinery absolutely need to be renovated (coldn't run on the threadmill)

The room was over $800 per night, and while the front desk staff were very welcoming and kind, I honestly expected more for the price. I was hoping for a brighter room or at least a decent view, but instead I was placed on the 3rd floor in a very small and dark room. I did mention that this was my 40th birthday trip, and I wouldn’t have chosen to spend nearly $900 for such a low-level, dark room. That said, the coffee from the café on the first floor was amazing, and the location itself was absolutely perfect.

Positive: The location was excellent and in a quiet corner of the city so no roadside noise. The cafe and coffee was wonderful downstairs. One of the best in the area and lots of people working from here during the day - a good atmosphere - also loved the decor. Negative: ""

I had a generally pleasant stay, but my checkout and parking experience left me frustrated and disappointed. I stayed in a standard room, which was a decent size for NYC. The bathroom was spacious and bright, while the bedroom was moodier—attractive, but not especially well lit. In room 1007, the nightstand placement blocked the dresser drawers from fully opening, which limited usable storage to the closet, and the lack of lighting there made it difficult to see inside.||||I did appreciate the small vanity area for putting on makeup, as many NYC hotels lack sufficient surface space and mirrors for getting ready. Elevators were a bit slow, though not the worst I’ve experienced in the city. I was initially concerned about noise due to earplugs being provided in the room (which I appreciated)

After living in NYC for several years, I always enjoy coming back to the city and getting to stay in hotels. This was my first time staying at Hotel Hugo. Such a great boutique hotel. Location was great. Loved having Felix Coffee right down stairs. They even serve hotel guests complimentary iced and hot drip coffee. The rooftop Bar Hugo was a great spot to end the night with friends. Overall would recommend staying here if you want to be in the quieter parts of the city but still have access to the best neighborhoods.
