Hotel Finial, BW Premier Collection

The hotel grounds are very well kept and gated. The rooms are modern and clean and the bed was comfy. They have a bar and serve breakfast. The staff was also very friendly. The hotel is a few miles from the exchange which has all the food and shopping available in the area. I will definitely be back to Hotel Finial when I am in the area. Its the best!!!!

For a little weekend getaway, we rode an Amtrak train to the Anniston, AL Station, then walked 30 minutes across the quaint and historic downtown to reach Hotel Finial. There are sidewalks everywhere here, so passage was easy. To get into the hotel on foot, press the call button at the front gate. Check in at the lower carriagehouse. We stayed in the McKleroy Suite (named after the original owner of the mansion) in the main historic house. The suite was a little smaller than expected, but was fine for two people. There is NOT a walk-in shower in this unit, but a passable tub unit with nice tile backsplash. The fireplace also appeared to be for looks only, not a working unit. Nice little property. Not like any cheap Best Western most of us avoid. The rooms are tiny but remodeled fairly current & decorated nicely with all the things one might need, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, 2 bottles of water, a big tv. The bathroom was large with a big walk in shower and all the soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and lotions you might want. The parking lot was gated secure. The breakfast was nothing special but there was something for most people. The staff were all nice and helpful. My spend was more than $130 for one night including taxes. $100 would have been fair IMO.

This was a charming and elegant hotel to visit that had superb convenience to downtown Anniston. Check in went smoothly, and I was impressed with how helpful and genial the staff was. The room itself was above and beyond in quality, capacity, and privacy. I suggest to any visitors to check out the rest of the hotel and the antiquity that drives its character. It really is a gem within the scenic mountain town that it inhabits. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting the area.
