Hotel Continental Miami Beach, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

We booked a room at the Hotel Continental because of its proximity to the beach and its affordability compared to most of the Hilton properties south of 40th Street in Miami Beach. We knew what we were in for in terms of amenities and room size, but were not at all disappointed. The room was clean and the king mattress was great and we slept better here than in any Hampton Inn, HGI, etc which have huge welts in their mattresses. Even the AC was smooth and calming. It never woke us. Leo checked us in and was very personable during our stay. He had a great attitude about him. Katy was very sweet and conversational with my wife and me. She served us during happy hours and the next mornings at breakfast. We loved talking with her and appreciated her hustle. We used the hotel-provided

At first, I was worried because I had seen some negative reviews online, but we still decided to book this hotel. In reality, everything turned out to be much better than we expected. The hotel is very clean and modern.The rooms are excellent — clean, neat, and well maintained. Overall, the hotel makes a very good impression and feels fresh and comfortable.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the very beginning of January prior to a cruise. The hotel has been recently renovated nicely. The mattress was comfy and the bathroom was nice. Everything was clean. The breakfast was excellent. I really enjoyed the yogurt with fresh fruit. The young man who waited on us each morning, Nico, was doing a great job and was very personable. We made great use of the trolley to get around. |We came to a conclusion that if you want to save a bit of money compared to South Beach, this is a great place to stay

This hotel is located in the Mid-Beach section of Miami Beach, which is more quiet and sedate than South Beach. It has easy access to the wonderful bike and walking path along the beach, that runs for many miles. The hotel also has free bicycles that you can use on the path. The front desk employees (especially Leandro and Marina) were very friendly and helpful, which was good, because neither my safe nor my WiFi were working when I arrived. Leandro quickly got both problems addressed. My main gripe about this place was the elevators, of which there were two - both tiny. One elevator was permanently out of service, resulting in long waits for the other one - which often had no room (especially when the cleaning staff filled it with their carts). The hotel's restaurant was mediocre.

Really enjoyed our two-night stay at this hotel. It was a busy holiday weekend but all the staff - including Julian, Martina, and Leandro - were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. No noise from the rooftop construction (we were on 2nd floor). Location is ideal - 1 block to the beach. We didn’t use the pool or eat onsite - Primo’s cafe next door was great for empanadas. Would go back (and probably will!)
