Hotel Cheyenne

Surprisingly no bed bugs in our room, can’t speak for other rooms, but this was a relief. Hotel is going through renovations as the third floor seems a lot more newer than the rest of the building. It’s a budget friendly place to stay for one night. Lobby was cozy, breakfast had some variety but it was not a lot. At the time of our stay, the second floor elevator was inaccessible, just an FYI to those who get a room on that floor. Place used to be a Sure Stay from the notepads they have in the rooms, so possibly new management? Overall, not bad.

It was a bad experience from the beginning. We couldn't find it because the banner was so small. We called the desk and found we were around the corner. We were told it was the one with the blocked off parking lot and we needed to park at Home Depot.|Why work your whole parking area at once? The room had a toilet that didn't work and a bathroom door with the know coming loose. We were afraid to lock ourselves in.|When asked for another room, there were none. They didn't know what to do to fix it. I was told they would try to get a plumber but didn't know when. We said forget it and would like to speak to the manager who of course is only there after we were to leave the next day. I asked for credit as I didn't think we should pay for a room we needed to use a bucket to flush the toilet. We

The front desk gentleman is the reason for the 1-star review. When I checked in, I specifically asked for a feather-free room due to a severe allergy. He looked at me like I was being unreasonable and assured me the pillows were polyester. Both rooms I was assigned had feather pillows. In the first room, the deadbolt didn’t lock, which is a basic safety issue. When I went back downstairs to request a different room, instead of apologizing, he asked if I had used anything in the room. The second room seemed fine until I tried to wash my face. The faucet is installed too far back, so unless the water is on full blast, it runs onto the counter instead of into the sink. Overall, poor attention to guest safety and comfort. Save yourself the hassle and stay next door.

Nice hotel- a little aged but well kept. Clean and comfortable. Good value. The check in guy seemed like we pulled him away from something he was occupied with in the back room. Not rude but a smile would have been nice and a friendly "enjoy your stay". 😶 The young man in the morning when we checked out made up for it. He was very friendly and asked how our stay was, what our destination was and wished us a good journey. 🥰 The coffee was quite stout/bitter unfortunately; better with half cup milk added! Coffee is located in the entryway instead of the dining area. Everyone was asking where the coffee was. Breakfast was decent. A decent place to stay the night while passing through Cheyenne. The rooms were spacious, but a little dated. The bed was clean, but not the most comfortable. The front desk service was hit-or-miss as the evening Manager was not very friendly and short while the morning Manager was very nice. While the included breakfast was appreciated, it wasn’t the most well-stocked and had just the most basic of options. Overall, it is an affordable option for one night and worth it if you are on a budget.
