Hotel Chandler in New York was a boutique hotel located at 12 East 31st Street in the Flatiron District. Built in 1905, it featured classic architecture with modern amenities. The hotel offered 148 rooms, including standard rooms and suites, all equipped with flat-screen TVs, mini-bars, marble bathrooms, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Its interior design blended traditional elegance with contemporary comfort. Guests had access to a fitness center, meeting rooms, and concierge services. The on-site restaurant served American cuisine with French influences, and a lounge bar provided a relaxed atmosphere. Hotel Chandler’s central location allowed easy access to landmarks like the Empire State Building, Madison Square Park, and Fifth Avenue shopping. It was part of the Library Hotel Collection and

My wife and I stayed at the Chandler in early Aug 2017. We arrived at the hotel about an hour before the advertised check in so after determining that our room would not be available we decided to wait in the lobby. Our first impression on the hotel was from the chairs and carpet in the lobby, near coffee area. The chairs were badly worn and both the chairs and rug were very dirty. This really gave us a poor first impression of the hotel. We wondered at that time what the room would be like considering the rating that the hotel had and comments we read from others. We were actually pleasantly surprised with both the cleanliness and amenities in the room. The staff were both friendly and helpful. In closing, I would like to suggest that the area of the lobby where the chairs are located b

As an impromptu visit to NYC, I was searching hotels on our drive up from Jersey. This had the best rates and stars match, so I called and booked. No ridiculous security fee (50 bucks). They have valet parking, but we found a street spot. Our room was super cute. A nice bed, clean floors and bathroom. Super cute minibar. I read reviews that the rooms were small, but I didn't think so at all. Some reviews say its not luxury. Well if you are looking for a shower with a touch screen and marble floors, this is not it. It was clean and modern and super close to Times Square. In addition, the front desk service was wonderful. Shout out to Angel! We will definitely be back.

The Hotel Chandler stole my heart this summer. I stayed there while I did a two-week intensive program, and I lived in this hotel for a whopping 15 days!! The rooms are small, but you quickly get used to the amount of space. The beds are comfy, the rooms are clean, and the shower is great too. I loved how the staff and I established a daily rapport and we'd say good morning or good evening every day. The free coffee and tea was also a huge plus and life saver for those early starts, and the chocolates and turn down service!? Amazing. If I had to be critical of anything, the elevators are a bit slow, but that's pretty much it. I actually will be going back to the Hotel Chandler this month, and can't wait to see everyone! It felt like a true home base while I was in NYC. So excited!

The facilities are extremely dated and it appears that no renovations were attempted. Furniture is all out and dated, creeks when opened. My room was small and there was dust prevalent on nearly all surfaces. Our reservation was for 2 rooms. The other room wreaked off smell from the restaurant below. Beds were mediocre at best. The carpet was stained throughout and extremely dated. I have NO idea why this hotel is rated as high as it is. Beware that there is a "new" tower with "premium" rooms that very well may be much nicer than the regular hotel. However, unless you are booking a suite, you will be stuck in the same awful rooms we were. There are much better options in the area for the same cost. Avoid at all costs.
