Customer Reviews
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would happily return. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with thoughtful touches that made it feel welcoming. The staff were consistently friendly, professional, and eager to help with any questions or requests. Noise level was as expected for Madison Ave, but not too overwhelming. The location was very convenient, making it easy to get around and enjoy the surrounding area. Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and stress-free. Overall, this hotel offered great value and a truly pleasant experience.
Amazing location. Super comfy beds and a very spacious suite. The service was phenomenal. But it was a little noisy — both neighboring rooms, and the street noise. The gym was also pretty weak — three cardio machines and free weights up to 30 lbs. Overall a very good option and was pretty affordable. Loved how central the location was.
TERRIBLE, DO NOT STAY This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I have ever had. The first room I was given smelled strongly of fast food, was extremely small, and looked directly into a shop window and office space where people could see straight into the room. I asked to move and was given another room. In the second room I discovered a COCKROACH!! Finding a cockroach in a hotel room in 2026 is totally unacceptable. After raising this with the hotel I was moved again and upgraded to a suite, but the problems did not stop there. Shortly after settling in I found a woodlouse crawling across the floor of the suite. At that point I requested that the room be deep cleaned while I was out. When I returned it was immediately obvious that this had not been done. There were tissues
I wasn’t sure where to stay in New York. I chose the AKA Nomad because of a previous good experience with the AKA in Washington, DC. The room was decent and roomy with lots of storage space and space for working in. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent and very punctual. Staff were basically polite. It’s not really walking distance to Broadway but there are subway lines in short walking distance. There are two elevators and you do have to wait a few minutes most times to go upstairs or downstairs. The main shortcoming was the small sink in the premium room. The fitness center is also small, really just a treadmill, bike, and elliptical with some dumbbells This hotel is suitable for business travelers.
Great location for being in & around Manhattan or going into Brooklyn. I booked because the prices for my weekend of travel were excellent and I could get a small suite which was a nice way to relax at the end of the day. The staff and team were so kind, helpful and informative. Very attentive. Appreciate them for making a work trip feel more relaxing than they usually do.
