Hotel 48LEX New York

Great experience at 48 Lex. Everything was handled really well from start to finish. The heat temperature was set perfectly, which made the room very comfortable — something you don’t always get right in hotels. The front desk staff was excellent and very attentive. They made sure we had everything we needed and were quick to help whenever something came up. Overall, the service, comfort, and attention to detail really stood out. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

While our room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is in a great location, there were some issues with the "fine print" or the "resort costs" associated with this hotel. When brought to management's attention, the woman we spoke with was not at all customer service oriented and her attitude was less than professional. The gentleman we spoke to at check in and saw multiple times throughout our stay was very kind and professional. So, when booking and before paying, PLEASE take the time to read the fine print. We were 2 couples and booked 2 separate rooms, but for us both, only 1 breakfast voucher for each day was provided as part of the resort fees. There was a robe in the bathroom, but again, only one. One room was not provided with soap and was said to be a suite and paid extra for,

I have mixed feelings about my stay. On the positive side, the hotel itself is beautiful. The guest rooms are extremely nice, and the snacks and drinks offered in-room were a wonderful bonus. Furthermore, the staff is truly excellent—attentive, professional, and very responsive to every request.||||However, several functional issues made the stay difficult, particularly for a business trip. One of the two elevators was down, which was quite frustrating when trying to move through the hotel. We also struggled with the conference rooms; a cooling issue made them extremely hot, forcing us to keep the doors open for airflow. This is our (wife and I) longtime favorite hotel in NYC. The only place we've stayed in the last 10 years. We've tried so many others. But this hotel is exceptional. The Midtown location is super convenient for us. The staff is outstanding, friendly, professional, helpful, and pleasant. The restaurant is convenient and great. The rooms (we most recently had a high-floor suite) were out of this world. The perfect escape we were seeking. Recharged ourselves for the 2026 New Year ahead.
