My family had a great experience at this campground. The campsites were immaculate with new tent pads, a fire pit, camp stove stand and BBQ. The water faucet was close to our spot, was ice cold and tasted so nice. The walk to the river was short and accessible for our small children. The bathrooms were always clean and stocked. The camp host, Dave was very friendly and helpful while not being over bearing like some camp hosts can be. He showed up with firewood at the perfect time each day. My Mom's battery died and when I asked if he had phone service so we could call AAA, he just came up immediately with a jump pack and started her car! No cell service with T-Mobile. This place is a true gem. No bears. There is a trail head at the rear of the campground with offers stunning views of the
We did not see anything interesting at Hope Valley but on the way to Hope Valley from Luther Pass there is a beautiful space with stunning streams in between. Park your car at the shoulder and check it out!
Awesome campground! There is drinking water and bathrooms. Our campground came with 2 picnic tables, two spots for tents, a fire pit, and two anti-bear overnight food storage lockers. The campground host, David, was incredibly nice and professional! Keep in mind there is no cell service. Finally you can buy firewood at the campsite!
Nice rustic little campground. Camp host was very good took great care of the place. Some really nice spots & some kinda close together. MOSQUITO'S were pretty brutal !
We've stopped here once to check it out, but then drove a few more miles towards Blue Lakes and camped out in a nice meadow just a few yards off the road and close to the West Fork of the Carson River. Around 30 years ago, the second half of Blue Lakes Road was an "off road adventure" but then it was widened and paved.
