Carson River Resorts

Located right of the 89 in Markleeville this place is another hidden 💎. They have lodges, RV parking and tent camping spots right on the river. The store on sight offers any extras you may have forgot. Phil is amazing and his children. They are so welcoming. You are able to use there outdoor kitchen area and they often have game night hosted at the store. What a great place! I will be back for sure!

Very beautiful campground surrounded by mountains and with the Carson River across the highway (be careful crossing!). Phil is a wonderful and welcoming host!

We have always had a great experience staying at Carson River Resort. The location is beautiful—right along the river with gorgeous mountain views and easy access to hiking, fishing, and just relaxing outdoors. It’s quiet, peaceful, and a perfect place to disconnect and unwind. The staff was super friendly and helpful with local tips. There’s a little store on-site too, which was really convenient for picking up snacks, drinks, and firewood. Just a heads-up: cell service is spotty , Verizon works. If you’re looking for a luxury resort, this isn’t it—but if you want to enjoy nature and some good old-fashioned cabin time, this place is perfect. We will always come back to this place!

I stayed at their camp site on the river. They have port-a-potty's only. Large camp spot. Friendly service and they sell a few small things... wood for campfire, juice, and other small items. I will definitely be coming here and staying again.

We had a blast fishing. Never a disappointment coming to this campground. Both Phill and Connie are amazing camp hosts. Love the old school charm. We already booked again for next year.
