Homewood Suites by Hilton San Diego Central

Had a great experience staying at Homewood Suites (Mira Mesa). It’s convenient and close to the freeway, Dennys & Trader Joe’s. It’s dog-friendly too. They have free breakfast, clean heated pool, fire pit, grill, free weekly social hour, gym and a laundry room. What started as a plumbing issue turned into a memorable experience. My husband and I recommend this place if you’re ever in the same situation. The staff is very professional and accommodating. Positive: I liked the shops/restaurants that were nearby. I also really appreciated the maintenance team. Negative: I did not like the limited hours of the gym, the structure of the rooms (not having an actual door for the room/the bathroom door never staying open), and the pool being outdoors.

I really appreciated having the kitchenette and extra space to relax — it truly feels more like a small apartment than a standard hotel room. The staff was friendly and professional, and check-in was smooth. The location is also a big plus: easy access to major roads, restaurants, and shopping, while still being quiet and calm at night. Breakfast was solid with good variety, and the common areas were well maintained. Overall, it’s a reliable, comfortable, and well-run hotel. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the San Diego area.

Overall, a decent affordable option for those that want the flexibility of self-catering.|The Reception staff were all friendly and helpful. ||The internal courtyard is a nice, sheltered spot to relex, have a BBQ, swim etc. Note, guests at the adjacent Holiday Inn have to walk across the car park to get to their pool. ||The room was clean, large and comfortable. Maintenance staff were on site decorating common areas during our stay. ||The in-room kitchen is well stocked, for basic cooking requirements. There are a number of supermarkets just down the road to stock up on provisions. This property was beautiful! I had a staycation and it reflected our beautiful city. The breakfast staff Isabel, Ginalyn and Amelia were amazing! So attentive during the peak hours of breakfast! They kept everything stocked and clean and greeted each guest with respect and friendliness! Will def recommend and come back!!
