Homewood Suites by Hilton Salt Lake City Airport

We stayed in a 2-queen bed room on the 3rd floor, right next to the freeway. The fan in the room was a bit noisy, but overall it was comfortable. The kitchen was very convenient, especially for families, though the utensils were worn out and could use replacing. Housekeeping was excellent—we needed extra towels almost every day since there were four of us, and they were always responsive. I also appreciated the QR code for tipping housekeeping, as I often forget to have cash on hand. Breakfast was decent but could be improved. Instead of waffles, pancakes might be a better option, as the weekend spread felt like leftovers from the week. Very friendly service at the front desk. Fresh cookies upon arrival. They even had a treat for my dog. The room was clean and comfortable. The gave us a list of food places, grocery stores, gas stations and banking. There was a small kitchenette. The breakfast was the typical free breakfast. Maybe a little better than the most. |Really the only negative thing was hearing the traffic noise all night. The hotel is right along the freeway and our room faced the freeway. |This was just a one night stop over on our way across country. So it was fine.

Positive: The original reason we booked this hotel was for the pool amenity. The pictures looked lovely. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for renovation and we never got to experience it. That aside, the lobby was nice and the breakfast was phenomenal. Negative: The room was in rough shape. The bathroom door wouldn't close and was adorned with scratches. We asked for extra pillows as the pullout couch did not come with any. We were told there were no pillows available for our floor. Bad experience.

Such a wonderful stay. Hotel staff were wonderful. The rooms were so clean, and stocked with everything you could need for an extended stay. Super close the the airport also. Breakfast was great. The dog fees aren't horrible either! 100% recommend.

Given the proximity to the airport, you're probably staying here for a good night's sleep before/after/between flights. But a good night's sleep is absolutely not what we got. We were given a 2nd floor room above the lobby when we checked in in the evening. I'm not sure why, given it was a random Wednesday night and they weren't anywhere near full. Maybe if they wouldn't have given me a hard time when I called to put my honors number on the reservation, I could have selected a room myself. The toilet flusher kept breaking and we needed to open up the back several times. The air-conditioning kept reverting back to 70, making it stuffy and hot.
