Homewood Suites by Hilton Baltimore

Stained carpets, worn out and stained furniture, peeling wallpaper, I would not recommend staying here! Our first room had broken furniture (armchair), missing furniture (dining chairs, a couch), stove not working well, and so much more was so very wrong. I got moved, but the staff member was rude, laughing at me and asking why I needed a kitchen on a one night stay. I have celiac, an ADA recognized disability and I NEED a working kitchen. The 2nd room was also worn out and tired, with montrous stains on the couch and chair, I draped blankets from the car to sit down in the room! The kitchen floor was still peeling up, but my stove worked. It was just barely a step above the other room. We transferred here from an Airbnb after learning that plans for a family member’s funeral would keep us in town for a more extended stay than originally planned.||I selected this property because it said it offered guest laundry facilities, a business center, a full kitchen, and breakfast. ||After a couple of days on the property, here are some pros and cons:||Pros:|*The king suite that we booked is spacious, with a separate living room area, kitchen, bedroom, and large bathroom area (separate sink outside of the tub/toilet). Plenty of storage.||*The location is great. Very near the harbor, restaurants, shops, and the top touristy destinations that those unfamiliar with the city would love. (However, being from here originally, that was less of a draw. Plus, we were here for a funeral.)||

I recently stayed at this hotel and feel compelled to share an honest account of the experience. The hotel accepts government vouchers, which I fully support in principle, but the reality is that this has contributed to a noticeable decline in how well the property is maintained. Unfortunately, the current level of wear and tear throughout the rooms—damaged and stained furniture, dirty carpets, and holes in the comforters—makes the stay far below an acceptable standard. While the staff were consistently polite and helpful, the overall condition of the hotel suggests that it is not being cared for in a way that ensures a comfortable environment for any guest. Positive: I loved the location of the hotel by the harbor. It was very convenient and in a area with alot of restaurants to visit. Negative: I dont have any complaints about this hotel. I will definitely stay here again

I’m incredibly disappointed to be writing this review. I’ve been a diamond member with Hilton for a little over a year now and I travel weekly staying in different Hilton hotels. This is the first time that I have found a Hilton hotel where my room and the staff completely missed the mark. Upon arrival I was greeted with a very dismissive attitude by the front desk staff. When I checked into my room, I noticed it was incredibly dated and covered in stains. I didn’t let this bother me because I knew it was an older hotel. However, on day two of my stay, I woke up to bugs crawling on my bathroom floor. I immediately went down to the front desk and asked to change rooms and they acted like this was not a surprise or the first time that they had heard of bugs being in one of their hotel rooms.
