Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort - Convention Center

I forgot to review this place when we stayed last year with our friends, but my wife just returned with her family and had an even better experience! The rooms were clean and cozy and the beds were very comfortable, though the kitchen appliances (which we did not use) looked to be in need of some maintenance and/or upgrades. The same could be said of some other amenities - it's kind of a crap shoot to find a working ice machine near your room, and it seems the jacuzzi heater has been a long-standing issue. But we have always found the staff to be friendly, courteous, and accommodating; on this latest trip, my wife was told early check-in was not available, but then got notification that their room was ready over three hours earlier than expected... which means someone went to the effort

I stayed here for 4 days and paid a premium expecting Hilton-level quality and service, which I unfortunately did not receive. I chose this property thinking it was close to Disneyland, but there are several other hotels even closer that offer better pricing and much better service.||This hotel is not family-friendly, and families with kids should consider other options. On top of that, the daily parking fee is unreasonably high. Overall, the stay did not feel worth the price paid.

Positive: overall had a great experience. The breakfast variety was excellent?a definite plus to start each day. We also appreciated having tea and coffee available in the lobby at all times. The hotel felt very secure, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable Negative: The only downside was that the teens noticed an unpleasant smell coming from the kitchen sink upon arrival. Other than that, everything else was great, and we would definitely consider staying here again!

Fantastic location but insane price gouging for absolutely no reason, upcharge for parking? Why not provide a lovely discount or bar voucher if you are not driving? The fancy cost room and car spot got us a room overlooking the first floor's lovely metal and HVAC units! I'd think that should be another nice perk fixed up for a view worse than Gary. Another mystery for the price was the tv, it was not smart nor offered much access to much anything. At least the pool and hot tub were ideal for the one rainy week. Breakfast knocked out of the park! Big win for the kitchen team here, not only enjoyed but made sure to hit up the buffet again that next morning, I can easily say this was the best I've had in a hotel between Chicago, Miami, and West Coast. Pros: Budget hotel next to the Toy Story Parking lot where you can take the free Disney shuttle to the park and bypassing security at the park. The continental breakfast has a good variety of selections and drinks. Free coffee and tea throughout the day. Dining area is spacious. Friendly service and staff allowed me to park the rest of the afternoon after check-out. The room is spacious and parking lot has a security gate. Cons: It's a budget hotel and feels like one. Overall, if you spend all day at the park then you can save money by staying here. You can get two queen beds and a sofa pull out for the kids. I recommend this hotel.
