Holiday Inn Winter Haven by IHG

I am amazed at the customer service experience my family and I have had staying at this Holiday Inn. We walked in and checked in with the lady in the front desk, she was very nice. We took the opportunity and visited the restaurant downstairs. We ordered the pasta with chicken , firecracker shrimps and crunchy chicken strips with fries. The food is made to order, fresh and coocked perfect. We thought we had a perfect experience but Joseph from the restaurant made it feel like a 5-Star experience. Better than what we expected. Joseph took the order with precision, accurancy, and was amazing with our child. He really made us feel welcomed. Positive: Nice to see same employees from last time I stayed there Negative: Breakfast. If you’re gonna charge extra for it, the buffet should not be out of food. When they bring food out, ex. meat, there was only enough for 2 or 3 people. And the bin was empty again.

Dear Management, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. From the beginning, my experience was extremely disappointing. The room I was assigned had serious maintenance and cleanliness issues. The shower was poorly repaired and not functioning properly, and there was visible mold throughout the bathroom. While the shower was eventually fixed, the mold was never cleaned, which is unacceptable from a health and hygiene standpoint. In addition to the room conditions, I was very unhappy with the customer service at the front desk. My children were especially excited to see the Lego man in the front lobby — we typically stay at the Lego Hotel, but with their recent price increases, this was a refreshing and affordable alternative that still brought smiles to my kids’ faces. The front desk staff was excellent. They were friendly, informative, and took time to answer all of my questions as this was our first visit to a Holiday Inn. Been to this hotel many of times, very nice and very clean but there is definitely needed improvement. The front desk staff are very unprofessional, along with the management responding to the reviews. Never have I ever seen a hotel blast their customers for “Payments declined” or any situation that should be resolved privately for the sake of the customer. It blatantly shows the carelessness and lack of hospitality and is very unprofessional. Front desk is keeping rude tones with customers who genuinely need assistance, and management that is not fixing problems that have been repeatedly addressed by consumers. Again beautiful hotel, however you would think IHG would hold themselves to higher standards.
