Holiday Inn & Suites Williamsburg-Historic Gateway

The room was clean, quiet, and well maintained. Good location out of the busier main drag of Williamsburg. The larger pool area is open later. Nice business center to use. The main negative of the property is the food and beverage service. It's open limited hours with a very limited menu. The breakfast buffet in the morning is not good. Many items had been sitting awhile and were just not fresh. The quality of the items is on par with a budget hotel. And they charge $15 for it. The rooms are fine. But if you are going to remove a full service restaurant from the hotel, it might be time to change to a Holiday Inn Express, or another brand entirely.

Stayed over NYE to enjoy Busch Gardens…the accommodations were as expected and more. I like their detail to aesthetics. They did not only have clean rooms, corridors they add a touch of elegant style to each area, and the staff was super friendly, helpful and added ti the experience. The breakfast you pay a little extra for is well worth it. Five stars for me

We stayed here overnight. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. However, the heat turns off every time you leave the room AND the instructions for how to turn it on are inaccurate--they say to use the thermostat, but it didn't work. Not great.

Came to this hotel with my mom over the holiday. The overall experience was very nice and the staff is wonderful. From the young girl, who has a lovely accent, who checked us in during the evening, to the wonderful breakfast staff and cook, to the lady who helped us at the front desk during the day. However there was some cons with the hotel experience that makes me hesitant to stay here in the future. The first room we were assigned had a very sour smell so we were moved to another room which had an old smell (like air hadn’t been ventilated through it in weeks). After HVAC system flowed air through and good trusty Febreeze our room smelled better after a few hours. Thankfully though the room was very very clean other than the smell. Our weekend stay was very pleasurable. The staff was kind and attentive. Our room was clean. All staff was friendly. Kerri and Brianca were wonderful bartenders. The dinner at the Bistro was very good- we ate there every night !
