Holiday Inn & Suites Ocala Conference Center by IHG

The hotel looks grand and impressive when you first walk, in, you think, ok for this price the breakfast will be great and the rooms even better! Wrong. Its getting to the, we're so Fancy we don't serve free breakfast, fancy. No breakfast. What?? For that room price?? Pu-leaaseeeee!! Well, you think, at least the rooms will be pretty nice.... Nope. The whole place is so dark and dingy, the lobby, the rooms, at least the smaller rooms, barely have lights anywhere. The decor just doesn't make sense and doesn't help to make anything brighter or friendlier. The rooms have such bad lighting, the showers barely get hot(you have to turn it on and wait 10-15 min for it to get warm at all) the blow dryer on the wall full was orange dust. I was afraid to touch it for fear or contracting a disease. T

We were going to a wedding and the rooms were blocked for out-of-town guests. I was pleasantly surprised. It was clean and the people were so nice. I would stay here again. The floors were clean. And the beds were comfortable. It is easy to get to.|

Was really excited about staying here. Unique place, glass elevators and friendly staff. However it was quite noisy. My first room had a draft through the vent that sounded loud and very strange. The walls are very thin. The bathtub wasn’t clean. The place is in definite need of a renovation when it comes to the rooms-very dated and worn furniture and glass tops (makes the place look dirtier than it is). You can tell by the paint job and repairs done in the rooms that they cut corners. The showers are very claustrophobic-they’re tucked away around a tight corner in the bathroom and it’s difficult to access with the bathroom door in the way. I don’t know what kind of building codes Florida has but I was amazed by this shower-it was a tight fit for me and I’m a fairly small person. Still, I

The room was comfortable if not outdated in the decor. Housekeeping was NOT up to standard as they forgot certain procedures, like making the bed (several times I had to remind the front desk), and stocking. But for most part, the housekeeping did an adequate job. However, the front desk, the food quality at the restaurant, and my overall stay were extremely welcoming.

4 stars because this hotel is awesome for the price range, very clean, and staff is very friendly and accommodating. The open lobby is a beautiful surprise. Cons: The black out curtain doesn't cover the whole window, the faucet on the shower was hard to maintain a steady temperature because it's loose (roll in shower room), the wifi signal was very weak and gave us problems streaming, but then improved later.
