Holiday Inn & Suites Fayetteville W-Fort Bragg Area by IHG

Generally speaking, the Holiday Inn & Suites W-Ft Bragg was acceptable but certainly not my best IHG experience. The hotel is tucked behind a shopping center with convenient access to a large number of restaurants within a couple minutes drive. A few including IHOP and Applebee's are about a 3-5 minute walk. The hotel also has a restaurant on site with a limited menu. Unlike some IHG hotels, breakfast is ordered from menu and customers pay. The restaurant staff were very friendly and professional but some menu options weren't available due to ingredients shortages. My experience with the front desk staff was mixed - most of the time the staff didn't greet patrons as they walked in and one was busy looking at cell phone every time I walked by the front desk. The staff was great (friendly, competent) and the rooms clean, nothing fancy and nothing wrong. The issue was that they placed us with an adjoining room (we shared a door in our rooms, not very comforting) to strangers despite plenty of room availability, and we heard all the neighbors all night from the paper thin walls. Conversations, kids crying, tv, etc. My other issue was our room was somehow right on top of neon green lighting and lamps outside, so our room was illuminated all night and the curtains didn’t want to close. Between the thin walls and the lights, I was lucky to get a 2 hour stretch of sleep.

Always a pleasure staying at this location. Close to alot of restaurants and things to do. More importantly have you tried ther cookies 🍪 IHG usually drops the fresh baked cookies in the evening, if I could I would take all of them to my room to eat. I definitely recommend this establishment.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and love it. Miss Linda at the front desk is wonderful and welcoming always. She greets us so warmly every time we are there. This stay we made another friend - Chef Vincent. My grandson stayed with us and Chef Vincent went out of his way to make my grandson "the best hamburger he ever had." My grandson thought he was king of the hotel! In additional to Miss Linda and Chef Vincent all other staff we encountered were welcoming and fantastic!

Normally, a hotel will allow early check in. The front desk associate behind the desk was too busy eating to be polite. Told my party we had to wait, while she talked with food in her mouth. When I booked my room, I asked for early check-in. I also had print out, but was still denied. Very rude. Then our room was subpar, with broken furniture. Called front desk and was on hold for 30 min. Went to front desk and told them I was on hold, instead associate lied and said I hung up. Made request about furniture, went back to my room as was still on hold as I hadn't hung up. Associate answered phone, then I hang up. Finally chair was fixed, 2 hrs later. I'll stay at Embassy next visit
