Tru by Hilton Fayetteville I 95

We travel up and down 95 often and have experienced not-so-good Hilton brand hotels along the way, but this Tru was the exception. We are Hilton Honors Diamond members and have been surprised by how dingy and run down some Hiltons are. |But this Tru was excellent. One thing I love about Tru is their minimalist decorating, most of all *No Carpeting* that makes my allergies act up, and if the previous guest had an animal in the room, you wouldn’t know it. |Soap, shampoo and lotion are provided. Normally I use organic products but sometimes I’ll forget to pack something or it’s a quick trip and I don’t want to lug the bottles. Using their provided products one night isn’t going to harm me lol|We did not partake, but the breakfast bar looked well-stocked and clean, and the coffee area as well.

We stayed here on our way from New York City to Orlando. It was midway pet friendly although 75 is a little too much other places allow dogs to stay for $25-$75 especially since my dog is incredibly clean and barely sheds and sleeps on the floor. The shower was fantastic. The bed was OK but I don’t think there was a bed bug cover on the mattress the hotel itself is very clean and we would stay there again. Breakfast was not that great but it’s free.

Trip.com refused to refund my money for making a mistake on the booking date. I needed my booking for Sunday, I accidently booked it for Monday. They would not change my date for Sunday nor would they refund me my money even though they knew we would not use the reservation on Monday. Keeping my money was more important than helping us move the reservation from Monday to Sunday. I had to pay again. Trip.com could care less about their long term clients. Very disappointed and surprised at the lack of professionalism.

The hotel itself wasn’t bad—clean, simple, and exactly what you expect from a Tru by Hilton stay. Check-in was smooth and the amenities were decent for a quick stopover. My only real issue, and the reason for the 3-star rating, was the unexpected number of ladybugs inside our room. We were staying on one of the higher floors, so it was surprising to encounter that many. I can understand if this happened on the first floor near entrances, but on upper levels the hotel should have tighter preventative measures in place. Overall, not a terrible stay, but the ladybug situation definitely took away from the experience. If management can address that, this property would be much more solid.

Good place to crash while on a road trip. I’ve stayed at several Tru branded hotels and this one is no different. Modern, clean, kid/family friendly, standard free breakfast (kids love the waffle and pancake makers). My only gripe is I wish the fruit options at breakfast were better, and the coffee is kinda weak. Good water pressure, which is always nice after a long drive.
