Holiday Inn & Suites College Station-Aggieland by IHG

Lovely place to stay. The only small thing I have to say is the water in the sink had a funny taste. We traveled with 3 kids(3,6,8). We had planned on two of them sharing but then made a little pallet for the tiny one. The fold out couch cushions fit perfectly with the extra blanket. (Each child had their own small blanket from home so we didn't need the extra one.)

This HI location is the best in Aggieland. Having said that we hadn't stayed there in the last 6months. The staff is great but I've noticed it is getting slightly run down. The bath rooms need some updating. I was concerned on how dirty the elevator was. Our key card continued not to work upon entry to our room on a regular basis. We like the area away from the traffic and easy in and out to main roads. Overall, I will continue to stay there but wish they would clean things up better.

Positive: It was near Reed Arena where we were attending our son's doctoral graduation. Negative: Clean up crew accidentally threw away some items left on coffe counter. I though they were only going to clear items in trash. Too bad there were no pre-printed signs that said: " do not touch or do not discard" All else was Fantastic!

Almost never post reviews. Spent 100s of nights away the last 35 years, mostly in IHG properties. At this location service was very good, courteous with positive attitude. Overall though, this location is unworthy of the brand due to lack of standard. Location is good, but improve signage on the two main roads to identify the turn in. Phone didn't work and could not be corrected by staff. A/C didn't work and could not be corrected by staff. Hot water throughout the stay was barely warm at best. I hope room 210 is the exception. Suspect management should be more attentive to hotel condition and more aggressive in update scheduling. ... LWE
