Holiday Inn & Suites Barstow

Positive: Location was good, chilis restaurant right in front of hotel was comvenient Negative: Staff when asked how she is doing stated “well I am here”. So that was our first impression. The rooms were ok, but extremely dated. The air conditioning in the room was so loud, it felt like we were sleeping at a busy train station. Mattresses were bad.

Spent a night here while passing through Barstow. The desk clerks and other employees were friendly and helpful. The entire facility and my room were clean although a bit dated. Convenient location (right off the freeway) and located near several gas stations and places to eat. I even noticed EV charging stations in the parking area. This place offers a complimentary breakfast bar. (Eggs were a little overcooked though.)

Overall stay here was peaceful. Parking is tight for full sized vehicles. Lobby and guest room decor is dated. Fitness center is appreciated and provides guests the opportunity to obtain an adequate workout. The guest laundry is overly priced compared to other like branded hotels ($4 to wash and $4 to dry).

The rooms feel a bit dated, but its a pretty good hotel. Everything was clean, its quiet. Good service at the front desk, and the breakfast is everything you need. There is a little library, a laundry, and a self checkout snack center. |There is a pool but I didnt look at it. |Overall, its a good location, you can walk to restaurants and coffee, and I had a good experience.

I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Barstow by IHG on my way back from Vegas, and unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. This property really needs major improvements. The carpet in the room had an unpleasant smell, which was the first red flag. We had booked a room with two queen beds, and after a long, tiring drive, we checked in around 9:30 PM. Once we settled in and unpacked, we realized that the washbasin sink wasn’t draining at all. I reported it to the front desk, and the staff member came to inspect it, but she couldn’t fix the issue. She also mentioned that the hotel was fully booked and didn’t have another room with two queen beds available. The only option she could offer was a room with one king bed and a sofa. Since it was already late—around 10 PM—w
