Holiday Inn St. Paul Downtown

This hotel was great! The location the the Grand Cassino Arena was literally across the street. The service was incredible. We had car trouble a d they hooked us up with a late checkout so we had someplace to stay until the car was fixed. Can't say enough about how great and helpful the staff was! I would recommend staying here!

The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and provided clear directions, even with the street construction out front. The housekeepers we interacted with were very nice and accommodating. I will say, the shower base was really slippery. Very stressful for someone with stability issues. Also, an elongated toilet that was a little taller would be appreciated. But the real standout was our shuttle driver. Not only did he get us to CHS Field safely, but he also gave us a heads-up about when the shuttle wouldn’t be available for return trips. Thanks to his thoughtfulness, we were able to plan ahead and call him for a couple of smooth, stress-free rides back to the hotel. Wish we could remember his name. Five stars for him.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful during our stay! They were accommodating to our early check-in requests and were able to put both our parties close together. We were able to get extra pillows and towels very easily and promptly. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean. We had a strange stain on our ceiling, but the rest of the room was excellent. We were right across the street from the venue our show was at, and the location is close to several restaurants and other shops.

Room was clean but I've seen college dorms bigger than our room. They also charge over $20 to park so that sucks. There were homeless people sleeping outside. The restaurant was good but even with our 2 kids eating for free, the bill for the 4 of us was $100. I'll never come back for the reason that there's no prices on the drink menu. Drives me nuts.

Rooms were fairly clean and room service left a cute little towel animal but these walls are PAPER. THIN. I could hear every single word being said from the people in other rooms and in the hallway. I felt like they were speaking inches away from my face in the dead of night while I was trying to sleep. Annoying. Also elevators were super slow and nobody could find the stairs (they only exit to outside, not the lobby). Employees were nice though.
