Holiday Inn Quincy by IHG

Large, comfortable rooms. The bed & pillows were VERY comfortable! Location is tucked back & quite, located less than 5 min from the city. There’s a restaurant in the hotel that serves breakfast, lunch, & dinner but I never had the opportunity to eat at it. I did notice a lot of locals come in & eat there, not just hotel quest. I didn’t utilize the pool or housekeeping during my stay soi can’t leave a fair review on either of those things.

I stayed here over the Christmas holiday for three nights while visiting my mother in assisted living in Quincy. Everything was great. A very nice extra was two tickets for the Christmas Day brunch. This was quite a spread and was complimentary. It may have been due to my Diamond Elite level but it was very good. My room was a two room suite which was also very nice. The fitness room machines and tv all worked fine which isn't always the case in some hotels. I look forward to staying here again when I return to visit my mother.

I visited Quincy with my Family for my Daughter’s official recruitment visit to Quincy University this past weekend. I called on my way over and spoke with Mr. Bob and he was very, very helpful. I explained him that we were stuck on the road and we weren’t going to make it. He adjusted my reservation and it made me feel like he really cared. Upon arrival Ms. Sarah was not different, she was very nice and attentive and answered all of my questions. Later that evening we had dinner at Tony’s and the food was delicious. Mr. Alex help us and gave us some more information about the town. I highly recommend this place to anyone. My wife and I will continue to stay here every time we come watch my Daughter’s volleyball games. Go Hawks!!

​My experience at the Holiday Inn in Quincy, Illinois, was unacceptable from start to finish. While recently renovated, the problems here run deep.||||The good news stops at the lobby. The d​ecor is attractive​. ​The restaurant and bar are surprisingly decent — a notch above typical hotel dining​.​ Locals actually co​me to drink and eat. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.||||​Here were my issues:||||1. Outrageous “No Locals” Policy||This hotel refuses to accept guests who live within 100 miles of Quincy — an absurd rule that isn’t disclosed when booking through IHG. That radius includes Springfield, ​Illinois; Columbia, ​Missouri; and even parts of St. Louis. Guests discover this only upon arrival. It’s discriminatory, unprofessional, and indefensible.||||2. Bathrooms Left Out

Very nice hotel on the edge of town. Beds and pillows were amazing and the room was just perfect. Plenty of parking for buses and semis.
