Typical Holiday Inn. Stayed here as a resting point coming from NY, and final destination to Great Wolf Lodge Mashantucket. Cleanliness was subpar. I was itchy during the night, usually that happens when room is not clean and dust is abundant. I took Zyrtec which did the trick. They yave a fitness center. Pool is closed until further notice. Ample parking. No free breakfast. Overall, if you're staying overnight should be fine, not good for stays 2 days or more.
Our stay was deeply frustrating and ultimately unacceptable. From the moment we arrived, there was confusion regarding a prepaid deposit made through Expedia that did not reflect in the hotel’s system. Instead of a straightforward check-in process, we were placed in the position of having to navigate a payment discrepancy between Expedia and the property. Guests should never have to resolve backend billing issues at the front desk. The experience at the hotel bar further compounded our dissatisfaction. The bartender displayed visible frustration when serving us, yet immediately adopted a noticeably warmer and more welcoming demeanor when interacting with other guests. The contrast was clear and uncomfortable. Professional hospitality should be consistent and impartial, regardless of famili
A dump. I don't know how anyone can give this place a ranking over 2. They must not get out much. The furniture and rugs in the lobby and rooms are old, dingy, and desperately need replacing, or at least need a deep cleaning. Rooms smell musty. Except for the guests smoking in a non-smoking room. Then, there are the elevators. When we were there, one elevator was out of commission. And, lo and behold, the only remaining elevator went out. So, I went to Google and read reviews and found out that one of the elevators had been broken for over a week (and 10 days by the time we checked out.) When the second elevator went out, I asked the blonde-haired lady at the desk what the deal was; yeah, she got snippy. Excuse me? You've had one of those elevators out for almost 10 days, and you're getti
Positive: The price. Negative: Considering this was a Holiday Inn, I was expecting a better property. The hotel is very outdated. More importantly, the rooms smelled terribly. I would definitely the smell "mildewy" if that is even a thing.
The location is excellent, close to the casino, and the hotel offers a shuttle to Mohegan Sun, which is very convenient. What truly exceeded my expectations, however, was the service. The two young men at the front desk and the two ladies (unfortunately I can’t remember their names) working the bar and breakfast area were all exceptionally kind and welcoming.
