Holiday Inn Macon North by IHG

First off the initial experience was great, the receptionist Mark did an amazing job on 3/28/25. He was working the front desk alone. We arrived and were the only guest at the time. Evidently we arrived before the rush. We had AC problems, not working properly, he attempted to resolve the issue but had an influx of guests arriving about 10 new guests. After giving the AC time to cool the room without success he moved us to another room. He was very friendly, respectful and courteous during a very trying time as more guest continued to arrive. Mark deserve recognition for his work. Can’t say the same about housekeeping. I spilled coffee on the bed, enough to where sheets should have changed, no such luck. The hotel is right off the interstate with easy access to alot of amenities. I stayed at this property on 10/3/25 to 10/5/25. I was a bit disappointed and annoyed with the check-in process. I arrived around 4:30pm and the young lady checking me in flat out did not listen to me or follow proper protocol with ID verification. She asked for the last 4 of the card on my profile and I told her I wasn't sure what card was there and I didn't want to use it anyway as I held both my ID and Credit card I wanted to use. She said ok and proceeded to charge my card on file anyway while im still holding my cards. I ask her can I swipe now she asked did I want to use this for incidents and I said no... this is the card I want to pay with. And she then told me she charged my other card. She offered to rev

The good points: Right off the freeway and nearby restaurants. Clean rooms Bad Points: No restaurant due to renovations (Was supposed to be done in December 2025).. No coffee in the lobby for guests on Saturday, but was there on Friday??? - Was there for an event and after I checked out, I could not get coffee.. The A/C controls on the wall do not work. You have to use the controls on the a/c unit.

We checked in after making a reservation on line because we couldn’t get anyone at the hotel to answer the phone.The evening and overnight desk people were both there.The afternoon/evening guy gave us the WI-FI code knowing full well that it was down and wouldn’t be up that night.| Got up to our room which was the same one that they put us in a year ago.A lot of trouble with it then and had to move rooms.This time the cold water to the sink in the bar wasn’t on.Got underneath and turned it on but wouldn’t shut off at the spigot.Back under and turned it back off.At least the shower and bathroom sink were ok.| Got up in the morning and went down for breakfast and the server said they had discontinued complementary breakfast a year ago.I guess the guy who gave us the WIFI code was chucklin

1st stay 4 stars. Had some issue but they could over come it. 2nd stay. DO NOT STAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . If you want your car broken into this is the place. The coffee machine in room is broke and the housekeeper walked on me when checkout wasn't till the next day. I spoke with manager and she was nice but clueless as to how to remedy the situation. To top it all off the laundry facility is a mess and the dryer doesnt dry your clothes. I moved over to Hampton or should I say walked over to Hampton. As a platinum elite IHG member this is on the DO NOT STAY Sidenote: the renovations to the restaurant have been done for a while, they seem to have no desire to bring furniture in to foyer or restaurant and reopen it.
