Holiday Inn Lubbock South, an IHG Hotel

The hotel was wonderful! The rooms were large and the bed super comfortable. The hotel was very clean. Everyone we came in contact with at the hotel was very friendly and nice. We are actually going back again this weekend. Kudos Holiday Inn!

Actually My Mother's Homegoing and Celebration of a fervent life well lived was my recent stay. The ambience was awesome. The charges were sad. Holiday Inn used to be a people/ family/ kids stay free place. Now it's a nice place with their eye on the dime and that's sad. We reserved rooms for the out of town guests. People were overcharged and double charged. I lost My glasses. But My stay was nice Alex and his team were nice.

Positive: It looks nice on the outside and is in a nice area. Negative: The rooms look dirty, the walls in the rooms and hallways look dirty, the carpets look like they have stains and burns, the toilet looked stained. The man up front was rude and kind of weird.

The only comment I'd like to put: is very hard to see the entrance to the motel upon arrival- day or night. It must be a new location for it, but it has to have lighting... Put some pathway lights or a flag pole with lighting. Definitely no breakfast from hotel side, I wasn't to impressed by the "burger theory restaurant" they have joined with it. Stay was excellent, great customer service the whole 5 days spent.

After staying at this hotel for 3+ years has come to an end. I'm very disappointed for the last time. 1. Matthew is a jerk, doesn't care and gives excuses about not giving extra pillows/blankets/whatever. 2. No free breakfast?! Every Holiday Inn has it but this one doesn't. 3. Lack thereof convince/amenities. Holiday Inns are our go-to's but this 1 in particular has been now scratched off the list. Yes location is ok but if your room is on the side of the restaurant you're going to hear traffic all night. There are better suites for lower prices out there.
