Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tahlequah by IHG

I booked this hotel due to having to come to Tahlequah for medical treatment. This was my first stay here. The first room had the fridge unplugged and I came with frozen food since my daughter and I were only staying one night and didn’t want to go anywhere. They moved me to another room but it was still dirty and had towels and stuff everywhere. I got a little annoyed because it was a lot of back and forth but they apologized and moved us a third time and the supervisor came up and talked with us. Everyone was really nice and acted fast. Despite the minor inconveniences, I have nothing negative to say about this hotel.

I went to this location with my Mother and Had a horrible experience!! They’re general manager Is incredibly rude and heinous to customers and especially their own staff. The room smelled of urine and bleach and was infested with cockroaches. The beds were a mess as well they looked like they could have been made by a child. I am extremely upset with my experience and i would never come here again. Would never recommend to my worst enemy.

Easy check in, quiet comfortable stay, easy check out. Hotel was clean. Bathroom was spotless, staff was friendly but I really didn’t interact with them much. We got in late, stayed one night and left the next morning. Breakfast was the only thing I have anything negative about. The orange juice was watered down. The oatmeal was extremely dry and I had to dig it out of the bottom of the container. I added milk to make it edible. I ate at 7:30am so I was not at the tail end of breakfast. Every other part of our stay was great.

Overall a very good experience. My king room was very large with a corner sofa/settee, faux wood floors (some people don't like non-carpeted rooms but I don't mind). Bathroom was large with a walk-in shower and plenty of counter space. Breakfast buffet had quite a few choices with a pancake machine, pastries (including fresh warm cinnamon rolls), cereals, eggs, sausage, etc. This hotel is apparently used quite a bit by nearby construction workers so at the end of the day the parking lot was full but in the morning they've all gotten up and left early so not that many people at breakfast. Front counter staff were all friendly and helpful. My only complaint with the hotel was that we stayed two nights and they did not clean the room after the first night. Stayed here for one night for work. The hotel is located in a nice area with easy access. The check in process was easy but the person checking me in was not the friendliest person ever. The room I stayed in was subpar at best. The shower doors were a struggle to open. The show pan wait beat up and looked very dirty as well as the rest of the shower. It looked like they had someone come in and do a quick extremely cheap remodel. The rest of the room was okay but I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you have other options. This is not my normal experience with Holiday Inn Expresses.
