Holiday Inn Express & Suites St. Louis West-O'Fallon

The first impression we got of the hotel was provided by Bino, at the front desk—cheerful, friendly, and made us (and our pup) feel welcome. The hotel was clean, our room comfortable, and the shower was great! Breakfast was the typical Express breakfast, but the food area was clean and neat. There are restaurants within walking distance and walking areas for the dog.

I was a little disappointed. The room was not clean - there was a paste-y substance and a sticky liquid spilled in the entryway and between the beds. The hallways were not vacuumed. The shower didn’t look clean (water puddles in various places) and the walls just looked grimy. The safety lock on our door was loose. The lock itself was good, but the extra lock was not. The breakfast was okay - cinnamon rolls were cold. Nothing horrible, just not to the standards I’m used to Holiday Inn having. The woman who checked us in was so kind and personable. She was fantastic.

The staff was friendly, Chelsea in particular was wonderful and very accommodating. Rooms were nice. But our favorite part of the experience was breakfast. Not only is Jackie an absolute sweetheart, but you can tell that she works very hard to provide a great breakfast for everyone. The proof is in the final product!! Delicious, and such a wide variety of choices!! The pancakes are me and my kids' personal favorite🖤 Thank you holiday inn express for being so wonderful!

Positive: The cheerful welcome from Bino when I checked in. She was kind, pleasant and professional. If all reception desks had someone like her, the world would be a gentler place! Negative: The lock on the bathroom door needed repair/replacing.

Online it states you pay $50 for pet non refundable deposit per stay. To me that means you pay $50 for your stay. Even called holiday inn corporate line and they even said that is how it is. Show up they say it's $50 a night for less then 7 days but if you stay 7 days it's $50 for the whole trip. Makes no sense. AC unit wouldn't get to temp you could set it below or above 70 and it would change a degree but not more then that. On top of the pool is horribly under maintained water is a yellow green and burns when you get in. You can tell the pool has not been in good condition in years as it cut my daughters foot when she jumped in bc the floor of the pool is sharp jagged edges. Only good thing about this place was the house keepers. Even the breakfast was subpar and a short time to get the
