Holiday Inn Express & Suites Silver Springs-Ocala by IHG

My dad and I loved our stay at this place. Warm welcome when we got to the place and we even got to check in early. Room was perfectly cleaned beds felt great pillows felt great and great water pressure in the shower. The breakfast in the morning was nice with plenty of selections as well.

Positive: Nice size room with breakfast included. Negative: The room itself was ok but they allow pets in the room. Apparently they do not clean the top bedding. I woke up in the middle of the night with my eyes itching and burning. Pet dander on the bedding is extremely uncomfortable to anyone with allergies.

Other than not having a hot shower, everything else was good. Either our faucet was broken or maybe they lock the spigot so it only goes about 1/4 of the way to hot. We ran the water 15 minutes before it got warm (no joke!!) and the random spells of ice cold water! Day 1 - it might be me; day 2 - inquired at the front desk. The response was “weeell, I’m supposed to tell you that’s normal…”; day 3 - I cranked on that puppy and then had a heck of a time getting the water to turn off! (Oops!) Ultimately, it was no better!|I was a little annoyed about the USB only working when the lights are on. (We brought USC chargers. Went to Walmart to get a USB.). We were visiting the Ocala National Forest and decided to stay the night as I got late. Booked a room online so check in was easy. Lobby was clean and inviting. Our room was nice and very clean. The cold shower unfortunately was not pleasant. Not sure what that was about. It was late and we didn’t call the desk. We would visit again if ever in the area. Hopefully with a hot shower next time 😆

I love the staff of this hotel, we are a large group of women, 14 in our group but this visit there were 11, and they are so nice and friendly that we keep coming back. We kayak Silver Springs twice a year. This is the perfect place to stay. The rooms are nice with refrigerator and safe, the beds comfortable, good A/C, the breakfast is always good, I'm sure we're quite loud since there are so many of us, but we love the staff. They work hard to make our stay perfect in every way. Michaela is the best, she takes good care of us and is such a sweetheart. Thank you once again for making our trip special.
