Ben's Hitching Post Campground

This simple little campground was a very well maintained, hidden gem! Even though most of the campers there are long term residents, we were treated as though we were part of the neighborhood. My husband and I and our 4 boys enjoyed the heated pool, hot tub, shuffle board courts and the land. At night, there's an area in the back for primitive camping where we enjoyed star gazing. Its backed up to the Silver Springs forrest. The property was very clean. The bathrooms and laundry area were pristine. We came from Cape Coral but we felt like we were home. Lily was phenomenal from the first phone call to the moment we checked in and interactions throughout. Definitely a perfect central spot to stay in Silver Springs.

Rent is way too high for what they offer or don't offer. The swimming pool is a mess, they'll never fix it. I know they're trying to get rid of the riff raff after the last debacle with managers who couldn't manage a paper bag. New managers are trying. Hopefully it gets better. Those prices are ridiculous that's all I know! It's not a resort that's for sure, and those are definitely resort prices! They're going to have to really make some huge improvements asking that kind of money! Many campgrounds in the area are almost half price and have great amenities! Sorry Ben's, not again! We traveled down to see family....fantastic stay on the grounds! Managers, Wilson &Mary, Awesome folks! We rented the large mobile home, clean, and it was freshly remodeled....cheaper than motel and way more amenities! Do believe the new owners are doing this place some good!! Will definitely return!!

Rude races and unprofessional I am a single LBGT sigle mother with the 5 year old and was asked to leave the premises durning the hurricane, due to a veteran that's only been here one month mind you I've been here 5 to 6 months with no problems no issues said "I tapped him on the shoulder and with his PTSD, I scared him" a week ago she said my area looked like trailer trash never once have I had my area in any shape or form Trash looking I am one of the 5 cleanest trailer areas and she took side with American and I'm Mexican. Never once had they mentioned that every 5 months for squatter's rights they had issues with a couple months ago that everybody has to move that's to move every 5 months everything for 48 hours when in fact not everybody has moved I'm only seen 3 people including mys

Me and my husband moved into this lovely magical RV Park / campground and it has been wonderful we have been there for a few months now through the holidays and they have made wonderful beautiful improvements including the restrooms the clubhouse and throughout the whole park and on the holidays they have get togethers for Christmas and also for New Year's any holidays they have a pot luck and games and music u can't beat it and they have yard of the month which is whoever has the nicest cleanest and most tidy lot/camping spot you are able to win a gift card or cash you never know unless you participate also there's always a chance to win something every month and they also have great things to do throughout the week including bingo and arts and crafts and all different things to keep you
