Holiday Inn Express & Suites San Diego - Mission Valley by IHG

Location was excellent for our sites of the ZOO and Seaworld. Security was great. We felt very safe in the area. Complimentary breakfast was a little different every day and had an assortment of hot and cold items. The room was clean and roomy with a living area in the room. It was close to 2 malls with theaters and restaurants.

Not the best experience. The room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, and unfortunately I could not connect to the wifi. Worse still, when I called the front desk for help with connecting to the wifi (after having done all the troubleshooting recommended on the Holiday Inn Express website and via Reddit suggestions) I was given a number to call. When I called that number from my room it said the call could not be completed as dialed. So I called the front desk again, but each time I started to explain the situation I was hung up on. Finally, on the fourth try, I got through to one of the two people at the front desk and told them the number didn’t work. They said they would try the number and put me on hold, when they took me off hold they said the number worked fine. So I tried again, but th

This is a neat place. Staffs are professional and caring. I had issues like needing table lamp they arranged. I found AO and AK helpful, swimming pool is clean and warm in winter. Breakfast is good as a continental. Overall clean lobby, clean room and routinely cleaned every day, but carpet can be deep cleaned. I enjoyed my stay in this place.

The entire team was very accommodating during my stay at Holiday Inn Express. From the front desk staff—AK, Sunny, and Amad—to the amazing housekeeping team, everyone was welcoming and attentive. Our room was kept very clean with daily housekeeping, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel was impressive. The location was extremely convenient. I found this hotel last minute when I had to travel from Los Angeles to a nearby healthcare facility where a family member was receiving treatment. It was comforting to return to such a pleasant and relaxing hotel after long, stressful days. The outdoor area, including the pool, was very relaxing and surrounded by greenery and beautiful scenery.
