Holiday Inn Express & Suites Salt Lake City-Airport East by IHG

This hotel is close to the airport with a decent shuttle, yet there isn't much in the area. Rooms were fine and clean, just an average stay. I did like the bar called Wingtips, its a decent place to watch a game, good selection of drinks, and the food was good. The breakfast was their downfall. Its $15 additional charge and without a close by option and no car, I had to indulge. It was weak, as if, they used to offer their weak breakfast for free and now they charge. Given the choice next time, I won't have their breakfast and go somewhere where they care.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Salt Lake City–Airport East is an excellent choice for both travelers and business guests. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with cozy beds and all the essentials you need for a relaxing stay. The staff is welcoming, professional, and always ready to help — check-in and check-out are quick and easy. The complimentary breakfast is a big plus, with plenty of fresh and tasty options. The location near the airport is super convenient, yet the hotel is quiet and peaceful. The shuttle service is reliable, and parking is easy. Overall, a great value and a smooth, stress-free experience from start to finish.

Granted there are a few things that I could address, with this older hotel. But the staff is what made my trip great. They were so welcoming and friendly when I checked in, and those cookies always best after a long flight. Rooms were nice and big and beds comfortable. Breakfast was great the attendant is so nice. All in all, good stay, yes, they need to update their rooms and building but once they do this place will be amazing.

The room cleaning staff did an amazing job, but that's about where the good ends here. The hotel has a gross dingy smell and color to it. All the windows are dirty and the pool looked creepy. Water pressure is fine, air conditioner is noisy which is a plus for me since I like white noise. Add an extra $8 to your night because the parking isn't free, and it's a small crowded lot so get in early. Not the worst but definitely leaving a reminder to myself not to stay here next time I'm in SLC, there's simply way better options in the area for cheaper but the rooms are very clean so there's that.

This hotel is lovely. Check-in process was quick and easy; they even had some cookies that guests were able to take (also delicious). The room was clean and set up nicely. The breakfast hours is wonderful for those who sleep in later; 6:30am-9:30am! The downside - I found a bug in my room. It was just chilling on top of the mirror above the desk and then flew to the window. I’m not exactly sure where it came from; but when it dropped to the ground it blended with the carpeting. And there is just very minor repairs that could be done. Suggestion - add hot coco to the rooms if possible. There are coffee and teas but as someone who drinks neither, a hot chocolate pod would be better!
