The customer service is phenomenal here. We had to cancel our reservation the morning of our Anniversary trip (one of our toddlers woke up with a stomach flu), and I was doubtful they would "refund" our stay as we were past the 24-hr cancellation window. So even though I didn't pre-pay, they'll typically charge your card for cancelling without more notice. I called and the front desk girl was polite, talked to her manager, and told me they would "see what they could do." I figured it was a lost cause... I should probably buy trip insurance next time. But to my surprise, about an hour later, the manager called me back and said my stay had been canceled with no penalty! I believe he said his name was Aaron. Such a nice guy! This is one of the nicest, and well kept, HIE that I've ever stayed at, and I've stayed at a lot (all over the southeast US). I was in a newly remodeled room and everything was great. I have also stayed here a couple of years ago, and it was pretty well kept. Lorry took care of me at check-in. She immediately greeted me and was super friendly. In the morning when I checked out, the front desk clerk was also very friendly. This is a big plus, I've come across too many hotel desk workers that won't even go as far as to acknowledge your presence. I will definitely be staying here again, and next week, in fact.

The hotel was under renovation, which is needed. I won't take points away for that since they are working on that. The room was very clean. We stayed 2 nights but unfortunately the room was not cleaned between nights. We could have used more towels. We ended up having to reuse the towels since no kne came to clean and one of the bigger towels had to be used as a bath mat since there wasn't one. The breakfast was very good, as usual. Staff was friendly.

Couple issues, not deal breakers. Bathroom behind toilet should have been cleaned better. The room had ants, noticed a few the first day. I cam e from Florida so I was not surprised, however we did put our snacks in the microwave and fridge just in case they got crazy. My grandson did get a few bites, he slept in the bed closest to the window and they seem to be worse there. I did not get any bites at all. I would suggest that the Hotel takes more time to evaluate the bugs in all rooms. I am sure we were not the only ones. Over all the hotel was good option for us - price and location were great.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. Very quiet in the hallways. You don't hear the people next door.The service desk was wonderful. I asked for a wake up call at 6:30 am and they called us at 6:30 am. Fresh breakfast everyday and fresh coffee until 9:30 am. The cook is very diligent,pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed the food.We had sausages,potatoes,eggs,fruits,pancakes. The hotel is 15 minutes away from Olive Garden and Culiver is right across the street. I defiantly recommend to stay at this hotel.
