Hampton Inn Plant City

The hotel itself is fine. Slept really well. Excellent staff. But if you need to drive to and from Tampa, the traffic on the i-4 is bad. It took me over an hour every time.

Stayed three nights at this Hotel May 22 - 25, 2025. Room appeared to be clean and comfortable, and the amenities were good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only problem was what surface during the last night. We had to kill a good size German Cockroach running across the bathroom vanity. Didn't sleep well that night. We took some photos and advised the front desk clerk the next morning. You'd think they would have offered to adjust the bill for the one night, but nope!

We were really impressed with this hotel. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and had everything needed. All of the hotel staff we interacted with were extremely pleasant and seemingly happy but not in a fake business way. The ladies that did the breakfast buffet were really thoughtful and put out a darn tasty breakfast buffet. Both were nice to talk to as well. We will definitely stay here again.

As a Hilton Diamond member who has stayed at over 300 Hilton properties in recent years, this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. The hotel website advertises free parking, which I reasonably assumed would be similar to most Hilton properties I’ve visited. However, when I arrived around 1:30am, I was told parking was extremely limited. I had a small trailer attached to my vehicle and simply needed a place to park for about six hours so we could get some sleep. I asked the front desk associate if there was any possible solution — even temporarily parking near the front of the building. I was told, with a noticeable lack of courtesy, that I should try the grocery store or gas station down the street. When I asked if calling ahead would have allowed me to reserve a spot, she said no.

We stayed 2 nights. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast is mediocre at best. I would have liked to have bacon and grits but that's only my preference. The staff were exceptional. Everyone of them, from early morning to evening were friendly and helpful. If we are in the area again, this is a place we would stay.
