Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pikeville by IHG

My wife and I travel to Pikeville quarterly. We almost always stay at this Hotel. We have tried others but including the Hampton downtown. Dollar for dollar the Holiday Inn is hands down the best value. What sets it apart mostly is the amazing Staff. The day shift Manager(male) is amazing he’s always helpful and accommodating. He’s an asset to this hotel. The evening staff is always pleasant and make sure we are checked in and comfortable. Breakfast meals are always hot and delicious. Plenty of variety and the dining area stays clean and accommodating. Great experience every stay.

Hotel was very nice and clean. Staff was the nicest I've ever had at a hotel. My issue was the bugs. My second night there I found a roach on the nightstand phone and one on the other nightstand. The morning I checked out, there was one dead in my bed! I rolled over and there it was.

Over the last 3 months I have stayed multiple times at this facility and have been very happy with each stay. The employees are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The rooms have been very comfortable, clean, and nice to stay in. I was happy that the hotel supplied many extras in the room. I would recommend this hotel and I plan to continue to stay there when needed.

Made a 2 night reservation at this hotel. I usually stay at the Hampton Inn in Pikeville but they were completely booked. Arrived at the hotel at 9pm after working all day and traveling 2 hrs to get to Pikeville. At registration I was told by corp card was declined and my reservation was cancelled. Now for someone who travels a lot - this is completely unacceptable, especially for a 2 night reservation. And better yet this hotel is now also full. So now I’m in Pikeville KY at 9pm with no hotel room, no alternative in town and I still have 2 full days of meetings in Pikeville. The best I got was “I can call around and try to find you a room. This is the loudest hotel I have ever stayed at. I work for the state and am always staying in hotels for work. I will NEVER stay at this location again. It’s right next to the main highway and you cannot sleep due to the sounds of vehicles and sirens all night long. I mean, it’s terrible. You can hear just regular vehicles going by outside and it is extremely loud. Do not recommend. You will highly regret if you try to stay here.
