Holiday Inn Express & Suites Oswego by IHG

I made a reservation through the IHG website for a room with two queen beds. My adult son and I were traveling together. We checked in about 4pm, went to the room, and were surprised to find that there was one bed. Upon returning to the desk, we were told that we had been "upgraded" to a king suite. First, it's not actually a suite by any standard definition. Second, that meant one of us would be sleeping on a pullout sofa, hardly an upgrade. When I asked the desk clerk if she would want to sleep on a sofa bed, she replied sarcastically that she had - for a week. After being told that there were no other rooms and that a manager was not available, the head of housekeeping appeared and said she had spoken with the general manager and could have a room with two queen beds ready in a half hou

The woman, wish I had caught her name, who checked us in was very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms were clean and fresh. We enjoyed the pool and large hot tub. 24 hr coffee and the breakfast were also great.

Positive: Everything! Hotel staff were super sweet and welcoming! Breakfast options were real foods not just a muffin or donut. Everything was clean and tidy. Negative: The toilet paper was kinda thin.

I stayed at this hotel Monday 11/10. It's OK. Relatively new, clean as you expect for a Holiday Inn in Oswego... 2 things were annoying. I had a confirmed reservation for a room with 2 Queens, and got there and all they had was a King. I was traveling with my child to visit the college... The front desk clerk got kind of snippy with me about it. Second, the WiFi didn't work in the hotel Monday night. It came back Tuesday AM, but how does a hotel not have WiFi??? I guess it's about what you'd expect in Oswego...||I tried to reach out to IHG about this, but they've automated everything on their web site with chatbots. The implementation was poor, which is i guess what you'd expect from the parent company of a holiday inn... Since I couldn't tell IHG about this expereience, I'm lef

My daughter and I stayed there for one night. Our hot water heater broke and it took a couple days to replace it so we went to a hotel to have hot showers. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The check in and out were easy. The breakfast was the usual hotel breakfast. However, my daughter loved the pancakes and had three!! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I found it expensive being over $200 for a random Thursday in Oswego.
