Holiday Inn Express & Suites Monroe by IHG

Literally the cake of my IHG stays. Cleanest room hands down with a bed that didnt feel well used. It felt as if they recognized staff to the size ratio. The location isn't there fault, just to busy of a general area for me with a active train track nearby. Would still pick this over all my other IHG stays to include a nice Kimpton I stayed at in Washington DC area. The lady working the front desk the evening (5pm ish) needs a raise. I'd hire 10 of her all day. Represented the establishment very well.

I loved my two night stay here at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites. I was greeted each time I came in, by a different woman running the front desk. They were ALL so friendly and kind. Then the cleanliness... Every corner of this hotel was so clean. From the gym to elevator, I even saw a woman mopping the vending area. And when I went to the gym this morning, someone else was mopping the floor there! Breakfast was amazing with a 100% cleanliness rating. I would stay here over and over. This makes me want to JUST stay at a Holiday Inn. When I travel, and I have a choice, I know I will choose them 😉.

What awesome stay!!As soon as you walk in you know you’re in a very nice place. The room was very nice and the breakfast area was very clean and nice. The staff was very delightful and was always smiling. We will definitely stay there again. probably one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at in a long time.

Great service. Especially liked the man who checked us in. We arrived late at night and he was pleasant and accommodating. Room was clean. Breakfast was fine with better hours than many other hotels. Downside was the workout room machines were broken. I think only 1 machine.out of 6 was functioning properly. Also, my room had a connecting door - the neighbors were soooo noisy. You could hear them late into the night and early in the morning.

My flight was canceled due to weather, and I contacted the hotel immediately to request a cancellation or credit. They declined both and were not willing to work with me at all. I understand policies exist, but I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility given the circumstances. Travelers should be aware this location may not accommodate unexpected travel disruptions.
