Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ithaca by IHG

I stayed here in Ithaca this week with my husband and two small children. The pool was nice, but we couldn’t use the bathtub because the drain plug wasn’t attached, so the tub wouldn’t hold water and on top of that, we had no hot water for a shower due to the steady stream of water leaking out of the faucet. After swimming, we were covered in chlorine and couldn’t bathe the kids or even shower properly. I reported it to the front desk that evening and again at checkout, and was told the hotel already knew about the leak. Really disappointing and a major inconvenience for our family trip.

November 2025|We just stayed here for two nights. Overall, it was a very nice experience. The breakfast was great as is the location to the parks and walking distance to restaurant where we ate for both nights (Old Mexico!). The two women who work in the breakfast area were incredibly kind and helpful. The indoor pool was perfect for the kids, just 3-5 deep.||Not really a con, and not sure if it was just our bathroom, but there was no switch to turn on the vent for the shower, so it got really humid in there as evident on the ceiling. ||Again, overall, a very nice stay!

We had a very good stay. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, comfortable, and pleasant. Breakfast was good and had everything we needed to start the day. The hotel is located at the entrance to the city, so there isn’t much to do within walking distance and you need to drive to most places. But after a long journey from JFK, the location was perfect for us - quiet, convenient, and easy to reach. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Hotel appears to have been nice when first opened, but maintenance and cleaning is not kept up I assume due to understaffing which is an issue for many industries. Breakfast staff and foods available were wonderful. Room blind would not go down to block light for sleeping. Shower door did not close properly. Bed sheets looked like they may not have been changed. No one at front desk upon checkout to discuss room issues. We had to just leave keys in drop box.

An outstanding choice for your stay in Ithaca. The pricing is fair and the staff is absolutely wonderful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet is excellent with many tasty options. The complimentary coffee, tea & water is well stocked and open 24/7 and the entire hotel is well kept and nice. Not much more you can ask for from a hotel. A+++
