Holiday Inn Express & Suites Helen by IHG

Great stay, will return! We had a balcony room, facing the back/river. The balcony was clean, a great size, and had a great view. The room was also a great size and very clean. The bathroom, same - great size and clean. The water pressure and temperature in the shower were perfect. The bedding was cozy and comfortable. The employees were very nice, including the breakfast staff. We will absolutely return!

Positive: Clean Negative: $--- is an absolute rip off for this hotel. It’s a “express” not even a resort. You can literally stay at the beach or at the downtown ATL Marriott Marquee or 5 star for cheaper than the price of this normal econo box style hotel.

My Bride and I reserved 2 king rooms with the clerk at this Holiday Inn Express for the month of March for 2 nights and the clerk made a human Era and reserved them in February. We in discovering this the day before the wrong dates in February tried to appeal to get the mistake corrected . My Son and his Fiance has taken time off for March so we will go somewhere else together as family while the Holidays Express and Suites refuse to correct the Era without almost 900.00 more so they yes , had availablility . I pray that the other Holiday Inn Express and Suites have different Hotel Policies because we feel seriously taken advantage of and the fact that they weren't willing to correct the accident their employee made speaks volumes at the least at the location in Helen Georgia . I’ve been to Helen, GA three times and this was the nicest hotel thus far. Clean, modern, and well kept. The breakfast was great! They have an indoor pool and nicely stocked gym. It is on the end of the Main Street, but it was still conveniently located to several restaurants and activities. My only suggestion is a full length mirror in the room and more hooks for wet towels. I will definitely book my next stay here!

Check in was pretty fast. The woman wasn’t very welcoming but wasn’t rude. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable beds. The shower was always with hot water and great water pressure. The breakfast was great and the person working there was very nice and welcoming. We were always told that it’s a pleasure to serve us and ask if we needed anything. I took one star away because there were no functional ice machines in the entire hotel! We were there for 2 days and no ice for our meds. The rooms have a fridge but we needed ice in the cooler to travel. Anyway, the location was terrific and I would recommend the hotel. Parking was free and there was never an issue finding a parking spot, even during the holidays.
