Holiday Inn Express & Suites Harrisburg W - Mechanicsburg by IHG

I attended the Farm show and chose this hotel as it was away from downtown Harrisburg and seemed in a quieter area and had good reviews. The location was convenient and there wasn't a lot of traffic noise so it was a relaxing stay. I only gave 4 stars due to the cleanliness of the suiet I had, the beds and bathroom seemed clean but their were used straws and possibly Cheerios on the floor in the main area of the room. Otherwise the suite was nice for multiple people, nice large couch in the main area, a table to eat at and night stands and closets in the areas with beds. Breakfast was good, very many options to choose from and the breakfast area was clean and well stocked.

Extremely accommodating as they partnered with the Westshore hospital, nearby. Super clean rooms, their team members were professional and polite- even helpful, as I needed to print off items after I had checked out. I WILL use this hotel again. GREAT!

We have stayed at many Holiday Inn Expresses before, and even at this hotel. We are rewards members. We had reserved a room, told them we would be arriving very late, (landing in Phili airport at midnight, drove and got there near 3am). When we arrived there was no one at the desk. No bell, no way to call anyone. It took wandering around, calling, trying doors, knocking on the counter for about 20 minutes with exhausted children before a woman ambled out from the back, didn't even apologize.|| We had to be out by 9am with young children, and knew sleep would be very limited. Our only request when we made the initial reservation was for a room away from the elevators, as we are all very light sleepers. To our dismay our room could not have been more on top of the elevator, it was the room

I wanted to give this stay a 5 overall. I felt the front desk lacked interest in greeting guests. I was by myself and I think we spoke less than a 100 words. The hotel is well kept, clean and the breakfast surprisingly very good. The bed was super comfortable. The other issue is the location of handicap parking. Not good at all for walking to the lobby.

Nice hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. Bed and pillows acceptable. Breakfast area was clean and tidy. Plenty of parking. We would definitely stay here again.
