Holiday Inn Express & Suites Harrisburg S - Mechanicsburg

The Holiday Inn in Mechanicsburg was delightful. The customer service was superior, every person was kind, gracious and helpful. They made sure my room was clean, fresh and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious. Lots of parking and the complimentary breakfast was so good! The hot food selection is fresh and had nice quality options. There's also cold cereals, oatmeal, fruit, yogurts, breads, pastries and a make your own pancake selection. Extra thank you to the front desk attendant Robin who helped me modify my reservations and went the extra mile to be caring and compassionate. This is a lovely establishment.

I ask for them to put my ice packs in their freezer overnight and they refused. I've stayed at this hotels several times and they have never had a issue b4. I've stayed in hotels every week for almost 10 years and never had a issue with it. So I called the manager the next morning and Amber told me that is a pa state law that they can't. As you can see in my Pic she lied. And I was also in contact with igh and they said they never heard of this law either. Then the manger also want names of everyone that has done it for me and I said no I wasn't rating on staff that has made my stay great

Positive: Cleanliness of the room and bathroom.Front desk staff were very friendly.The workout room had great equipment and was clean with a comfortable room temperature. Negative: The housekeeping staff on our floor had a bit of an attitude. I handed her a tip ( we were there for 1 night- no kids), and thanked her for the clean room. She was said, “ You’re welcome, but never thanked me for the tip.”

We echo the review from Katarays — we had almost the exact same experience.|We booked weeks in advance and, as IHG loyalty members, expected to receive the suite listed on our confirmation email. Instead, when we arrived, we were placed in a handicap-accessible room — which we did not request and do not need. Taking a room away from someone who might truly need it is not something we believe in.|When we asked for the suite we booked, we were told there were none available. When we asked how this could happen, the front desk offered no accountability, blamed the IHG booking system, and told us to call customer service. Later, we confirmed that the hotel itself had given away our suite — meaning we were lied to.|Had we been told the truth, we would have requested a refund and stayed elsewher

Rooms were nice, spacious and clean. Lobby and hallways were clean. Front desk personnel were kind and helpful. Breakfast was very poor. Omelette’s were dry, fruit (oranges and bananas)were half rotted. Not sure who made decision to keep them on the serving line?? A very limited breakfast menu.
