Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hardeeville-Hilton Head by IHG

We are traveling across the country, and have had a variety of hotel experiences. This one was great! Nice indoor pool, which is harder to find in the south. Clean, comfortable, good breakfast. The best part was the amazing, friendly staff! Every employee we encountered was remarkably friendly and helpful. Kudos to all the staff and the manager and owner.

Staff are very friendly and easy going. From the breakfast buffet to check-in, everyone was conversational and kind. The rooms smelled good and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom had some mystery hairs and could be cleaner, but nothing too offensive. I do think dog friendly locations shouldn"t have carpets in the room personally. Breakfast was varied and fresh, love the potatoes and cinnamon rolls!

We chose the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hardeeville for it close proximity to I-95 and the reviews of the facility by other people. When we got there we were really disappointed. The hotel is stuck behind a convenience store where people were hanging out in the parking lot. We went in and were struck by the stark lighting and strange decor. Went upstairs to a dirty room and were seriously considering changing hotels. So we left to get something to eat and consider our options. Checked some other places in the area but ended up going back to the Holiday Inn to discover other guests had arrived so we ended up staying. Staff super friendly. The location is soso, not so much right around it. The rooms are not so quiet, i heard the whole night what the guys below us were discussing. Pool is a bit heated and good to enjoy.

Positive: The breakfast and staff Negative: The parking lot is not setup well for numerous large trucks/campers, no roundabout to turn. Our room had a 1-2” gap between the next room so we heard the people next to us as if they were in the same room. Needs cleaning under/behind bed frames.
