Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ft. Collins by IHG

The hotel was as expected. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The bed and the selection of pillows were very good. The hotel staff was very friendly and interested in their guests. The breakfast was okay and as expected for a complimentary breakfast. I had a room facing the main street, which was fine for me and quiet enough, but anyone who doesn't like that sort of thing should avoid such a room. There are a few restaurants nearby for those who want to eat something in the evening.

It’s difficult for a Holiday Inn to earn 5 stars in my world. After all, it’s a Holiday Inn Express. That said, these guys have earned a premier rating. I’ll mention two employees that I interacted with in my three night stay who are exceptional: Ethan and Robert. Both were over-the-top courteous and eager to make our stay pleasant. The facilities are typical HIE—though well kept and comfortable. Everything was clean and well-maintained. I will definitely stay here again when in the area.

The overall experience was great. The room was spacious and well appointed, the bed was comfortable and the temperature control was easy to comprehend. The lighting in the room was sufficiently dim when relaxing, although I found it not bright enough for working. Placement of the switches was good except for one ~ I had to call the front desk to find the light switch for the light behind the tv. The check-in staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. (I didn't partake of breakfast, or use the pool so cannot speak to their experience). Parking was easy and google directions accurate. The hotel was immaculately clean, contemporary and within easy access to major connections for further travel. This Holiday Inn Express is uniquely wonderful!!! The rooms are spotless, it is quiet, and the staff are so wonderfully kind and welcoming. We stayed here twice on our cross country trip (one time each way) and they were a true stand out. They welcomed us and our dog. The grounds around the hotel are so nice and location is walking distance to a store and restaurants. Wish they were all this good! Thank you!

If Evan treats his coworkers (so long as they're nice to him of course) as good as the guests, then my man needs a raise. You won't find a guy who enjoys working more than him. Other aspects of the hotel have been very good, but that's a guy you gotta reward for being that positive all the time. Good hotel overall. Very well maintained and higher end.
